Our principal lawyer Claire Riddell is the firm’s Legal Practitioner (Principal) and has a keen interest in family law, dispute resolution and mediation, and in estate planning and estate administration.
Claire graduated from the University of Adelaide where, as well as obtaining her Law Degree (2000), she had also obtained her Arts Degree majoring in Psychology (1997).
At university she excelled and obtained the Dean’s Certificate of Merit for Family Law, by achieving the top result for her cohort at university that year. In 2001 she obtained her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
After working for Legal Aid South Australia for three years, she and her family moved to Hervey Bay, Queensland in 2004, and she worked as Associate Lawyer for one of the premier firms in the area for six years.
In 2010 she went out on her own and purchased a law practice from one of the first lawyers to practise in the Hervey Bay area.
Prior to law, Claire worked in other industries:
- Kitchen Designer and owner of a kitchen manufacturing company, Melbourne, Victoria
- Manager and owner of the LJ Hooker Real Estate branch, Normanville, South Australia
- Administrator and owner of John Brown’s Home Services, Adelaide, South Australia
- Financial Planner and Life Insurance Agent with MLC and AMP, Mildura, Victoria
Claire enjoys working closely with her clients, ensuring that they are as comfortable as possible with every decision that they make.
